About the Opportunity
Minetek has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Drafter to join its team in Singleton.
With a range of exciting current projects with expansion and new projects on the horizon, this is a great time to join this market leader! You'll be required for Advanced 3D modelling, design and drafting, from supplied information such as engineering request forms, client specifications and design calculation sheets.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Designing special purpose machinery with Inventor;
- Designing industrial and mechanical equipment;
- Managing your own conceptual and detailed design and development of new and existing material handling designs; and
- Creating and selecting BOM’s along with Senior Engineers.
The successful applicant will have a proven history of mechanical drafting experience (structures, pumping systems, equipment), and significant experience in a similar role within a Drawing office. As well as a high aptitude for Mechanical Design, applicants will hold relevant tertiary qualifications, though Drafters with apprentice training and/or substantial experience in the field will also be considered.
It's essential you have expertise in Vault, strong system knowledge in 3D Inventor and solid AutoCAD skills, while a high level of communication skills, including speaking in fluent English, are also required.
