About the Opportunity
St Carthage's Community Care currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic full-time Administration Officer to join their dedicated team in Lismore.
As an integral member of the Administration Services team, you will provide a high level of administration support to enable staff to deliver services efficiently by liaising with and providing internal and external stakeholders with accurate information.
This will include producing and managing fortnightly rostering for staff and clients as well as coordinating 'return to work' paperwork with all stakeholders including doctors and insurers, plus identifying and reporting on trends.
More specifically, some of your key duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Liaise extensively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Implement, review and evaluate administration systems;
- Provide professional supervision and support to office administration volunteers;
- General administration and reception duties;
- Actively promote St Carthage's Community Care to clients, their families and other relevant stakeholders;
- Maintain client confidentiality;
- Provide input into the development of the organisational strategic and business plans;
- Collect, collate and report on relevant data and statistics as requested by the manager; and
- Maintain an understanding of contemporary issues affecting the relevant target groups.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be computer literate with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and MYOB, and have significant experience in an administration role. Demonstrated experience in the development, negotiation and production of client and staff rosters as well as an understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Health and Safety requirements is essential to your success.
You will have experience in statistical analysis, report writing and developing innovative solutions to address the administration needs of the organisation. You will also need to be able to work autonomously and display effective time management skills.
You will need a current NSW Driver's Licence and a comprehensively insured motor vehicle. A knowledge of 'return to work' programs and legislation as well as a commitment to Eden Alternative, which aims to maximise each person's quality of life, are both desirable attributes.
