Working on well-known projects in the Defence sector, Eptec also provide services for the Energy and Resources industry, private and publicly owned infrastructure assets, and the water and waste water sector.
Their services are based on the application of well developed and tested technology to solve complex asset related problems in the areas of corrosion protection, concrete rehabilitation, linings and waterproofing, fibre reinforced plastics and thermal insulation.
Eptec employs over 150 core staff in their head office, based in Sydney NSW, and across facilities in Victoria, Queensland, North Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
About the Opportunity
Eptec has an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Estimator to join their facility in Ultimo, Sydney.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of tender submissions and estimates to assist the Project Team with Business Development within the Protective Coating Industry.
In this role you will be managing all facets of the tender process to ensure all project procedures including quality, safety, environmental and technical are achieved and maintained.
More specifically your duties will include:
- Liaising with clients and Project Supervision staff to resolve specific queries;
- Procurement of equipment and materials for specialised projects;
- Identification of labour, plant and equipment requirements; and
- Scheduling and programing of the project.
The successful candidate will need strong experience in marine coatings and in the preparation of estimates and tenders. An understanding of the scope of the job and experience in the industry is highly desirable so you will be able to provide good solutions for their customers. Any relevant qualifications would be highly regarded, though not essential.
You'll need to be a flexible and quick learning team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and high level computer skills, particularly in MS Project, Word and Excel.

You'll also work productively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced and often-changing environment, and will be able to solve problems in a calm and logical manner.
You'll need to be willing to travel interstate on occasion.
