About the Opportunity
As Australia's leading paint retailer, Wattyl continues to grow, and currently has exciting full time opportunities for Retail Sales Assistants in Winnellie, Darwin.
These roles are your chance to work with a reputable, close-knit team in an upbeat environment, in which you will be part of a sales team that has customer service as its #1 priority! You'll be taking on a hands-on customer service role, with a focus on:
- Providing superior customer service and advice, both over the counter and on the phone;
- Assisting in the mixing and tinting of paint; and
- Keeping the store in excellent and orderly presentation, including putting away stock.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service, with a background in the retail or sales sector. You'll be a self-motivated "people person", with the ability to talk comfortably and confidently with customers, colleagues and management, while displaying a professional demeanour and "can do" attitude at all times. Additionally, you'll need the ability to regularly lift heavy items, including cans of paint.
You don't need qualifications or a history working specifically with paint and accessories, as in-house training will be provided to bring you up to speed with the Wattyl range and skills such as colour matching - but you will need an interest in learning about the industry quickly! All applicants will need the flexibility to work a range of shifts, including some weekends.
