About the Pilbara region

Explore one of Australia's top outback tourist destinations...

The Pilbara region in Western Australia has some of the world's most ancient natural landscapes, dating back two billion years. Deep rocky canyons lead to peaceful plunge pools in the beautiful Karijini National Park. Hundreds of islands with dazzling white beaches and untouched coral gardens are yours to explore on the Dampier Archipelago and Mackerel Islands.

Walk the mighty gorges of Karijini National Park and Millstream Chichester National Park to discover hidden waterfalls and swim in clear cool rock pools, or enjoy world-class boating, fishing, diving and snorkeling. This is also one of the few places in the world where you can see the turtle nesting season and the incredible Staircase to the Moon.

If you love photography or fishing this is the place for you.

About the Opportunity

Due to continual expansion, Land Surveys has an exciting opportunity for several professional and competent Engineering Surveyors to join their teams working across the booming Pilbara region and regional Western Australia, on a casual FIFO roster basis. Rostered work will be dependent on each project, and could be 2/1, 3/1, 4/2 or even 2/2.

Renowned as an industry leader, Land Surveys provides quality surveying services to the leading construction, engineering and mining companies throughout Western Australia and currently work on some of the State’s most prestigious mining projects.

In these roles, you will be working on new projects involving survey for structural/mechanical works on ore processing facilities. Opportunities also exist to work on civil concrete and earthwork projects.

Locations include Pt Hedland, Karratha, Tom Price and Newman, working on the Hope Downs, Brockman, Jimblebar and Solomon Mines projects.

To be successful you will need a Diploma or Degree in Surveying, coupled with several years experience in Civil/Structural/Commercial/Project Surveying. Similar construction industry qualifications will also be considered.

Additionally, you'll have experience in managing survey crews and in working unsupervised. Land Surveys is seeking those with a mature and responsible work ethic and exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

About the Benefits

Working across Western Australia, you will receive the opportunity to travel to stunning locations and work on major mining projects! If you're looking for an interesting role where no two days will be the same - this is the opportunity for you!

In return for your hard work, you will be rewarded with generous remuneration package circa $120,000 - $200,000 per annum, commensurate with your experience and skills.

In addition, you'll enjoy an iPhone, laptop, vehicle and Qantas Club Membership and when living away from home, all your meals and accommodation will be provided.

There is also the option to FIFO from any Australian capital city or New Zealand, otherwise relocation assistance can be provided to get you over to Perth!

You'll be joining an organisation where your efforts will be recognised and which offers excellent working conditions and a great employee benefits program, along with genuine career development opportunities and ongoing training and support.

This is a highly challenging and rewarding role, where you will also benefit from the very latest gear (Leica Viva surveying equipment) and structured work systems and frameworks.
