About the Organisation
DAVROL RURAL MANAGEMENT comprises of 3 companies:
HARDY FENCING NT has been established for over 23 years specialising in town and remote work. Over the past five years, we have significantly expanded our core trade and have become a market leader in the fence construction industry. Fencing contracting is our business. We manufacture, supply and fit all types of fencing from Coober Pedy through to Gove, Melville Island to Karratha. We have a very experienced and knowledgeable team of employees and contractors, capable of a range of work from fixing a squeaking gate to major projects in Mining, Defence and most remote locations. Our products range from a variety of domestic styles to high security options. In the previous years we have completed major contracts for a variety of customers from domestic residents, local companies, national companies, international companies, local government, state governments, federal governments, and international governments.
TERRITORY CONTRACTING plays an important part in the Davrol business. Established some 5 years we have become a leader in the fields of airstrip construction and rehabilitation, road building and associated projects. We maintain a modern fleet of machinery that includes: Cat graders, wheel loaders, excavators, rollers, water carts and other machinery. We maintain our own road train prime movers with a variety of trailers from side tipping trailers, flat trailers and drop deck trailers for the movement of heavy machinery.
HARDY FENCE HIRE is the major provider of temporary construction fencing throughout Central Australia. Our temporary fencing is located on various projects from Northern South Australia and throughout the Northern Territory. Additionally we maintain a depot in Tennant Creek to service that area. We hold large stocks of fence panels and are able to supply the largest project at short notice.

About the Opportunity
Davrol Rural Management has an exciting opportunity for a full time General Manager to lead; Hardy Fencing NT, Hardy Fence Hire & Territory Contracting.
Working with the Company Chairman and the Board, you'll be responsible for day to day management of operations across three pivotal organisations to drive profitability and a high quality of service.
Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing management and leadership to both staff and the organisation as a whole;
- Developing systems that ensure the accuracy, security and flow of existing systems;
- Creating and implementing an ongoing marketing plan;
- Collating and managing the company's full range of OH & S policies;
- Implementing and managing employee training programmes;
- Ensuring sound financial management of the organisation; and
- Sourcing, preparing and submitting tenders.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a senior leadership role, managing all aspects of a company including people management, financial management and operations. In addition, you will have experience with OH & S policies and quality management. Although not essential, relevant trade or tertiary qualifications would be highly desirable.
You'll need to demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communication in order to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders. Importantly, you will be results driven with strong administrative and time-management skills.
