About the Organisation
The Kelvale Medical Group is a purpose-built General Practice located some 20km southeast of Perth at Kelmscott, WA. The Practice has modern facilities for the management of a large range of medical conditions. All manner of GP procedures can be competently carried out in this well equipped surgery including excisions, vasectomy, ECG, lung function testing and audiometry.

About the Opportunities
As part of its current growth, Kelvale Medical Services has an exciting opportunity for a full time Clinical Nurse Manager (part-time can be negotiated for the right candidate), and a part time Registered Nurse to join their busy team in Kelmscott, WA.
Reporting directly to the Practice's Business Manager, the Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the Nurses' station and ensuring the highest and most professional level of care is given to all patients.
Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Managing and supporting nursing staff, including recruitment, retention and evaluation;
- All aspects of medical care including immunisation and minor surgery;
- Working with reception regarding bookings and flow of patients between Nurses' station and Doctor consult rooms;
- Collaborating with other health care professionals to coordinate the management of patient care within the Practice;
- Implementation of health assessments and assisting with GP management plans; and
- Providing general Clinical Nursing duties as required
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse will provide quality nursing care to patients.
Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Health promotion and advice (e.g. contraception, diet, lifestyle, smoking cessation);
- Providing injections, medical administration and assistance with minor procedures;
- Providing immunisations and dressings; and
- Ensuring standards and legislative requirements are met in infection control, accreditation, OHS, sterilisation and record management.
To be considered you must be a Registered Nurse with relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or eligibility to apply. Experience within a medical practice environment will be highly regarded, but not essential.
Additionally, the Clinical Nurse Manager role requires demonstrated managerial experience in a similar position. You will be a highly motivated team player with well developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail.
In both roles, your clinical nursing background will be supported by excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with a wide range of patients and stakeholders
