Shermac Engineering is a family owned and operated company established in 2002 as a steel fabrication business.  They are known for manufacturing equipment to a customised level, not previously available within the industry. Currently, Shermac Engineering have 21 employees.

They service a range of industries including Construction, Mining, Transport, Civil Works and Quarrying; by means of fuel and lubrication, trucks and trailers, water carts, diesel tanks and all associated pumping and dispensary equipment.

About the Opportunity

Shermac Engineering has an excellent opportunity for a diligent and methodical Bookkeeper/Administration Assistant to join their team based in Dalwallinu, Western Australia.

This is a vital role within the business, as you will be responsible for the maintenance of Shermac Engineering's financial records and books. This will include performing a range of bookkeeping and accounting duties as well as providing administrative support to the Shermac team.

More specifically, your day to day duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating sales invoices form job cards;
  • Following up and collecting payments from customers;
  • Producing monthly accounting reports;
  • Preparing the accounts to send to tax accountant;
  • Reconciling supplier invoices against purchase orders; and
  • Providing general administrative.

Shermac Engineering is looking for a "Bookkeeping Dynamo" with experience in a broad range of office functions including administration and accounting.  In addition, you'll have experience with MYOB and Microsoft Office, in particular with Microsoft Office and Excel. 

You'll have excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and work efficiently while juggling competing priorities.  Importantly, you'll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Your diligence and methodical nature will see you succeed in this pivotal position. 

Please note, a current drivers licence is essential to be considered for this position.
