About the Opportunity
Creche and Kindergarten Association Limited have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment & Retention Officer to join their Human Resources team in Newmarket, Brisbane on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Recruitment & Retention Manager, you'll be responsible for the administration of recruitment and retention activities including recruitment process administration, preparing and processing new employee documentation as well as fulfilling requests for relief staff. Please note, given the operating hours of the Centres, the successful candidate will be required to work from 6am to 2pm, Monday - Friday.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Responding to requests for relief staff from Centre Directors in a timely manner;
- Contacting available relief staff for placement;
- Coordinating external recruitment advertising for Branches and Affiliates throughout QLD;
- Recruiting relief staff including shortlisting, interviewing and selecting suitable candidates;
- Updating employee records including contracts, registrations, qualifications and other assorted licences;
- Organising and categorising all mail in the HR helpdesk inbox; and
- Training and supporting the Directors in the use of Cascom and OneTest for recruitment and relief requests.
While formal qualifications are not required, candidates who possess a Bachelor of Human Resources will be highly regarded. More importantly though will be your ability to respond to client needs involving competing priorities while also achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
You'll have a keen eye for detail and will have basic to intermediate computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer. The successful candidate will be joining an established Human Resources team, so it's essential that you are an excellent communicator with the ability to perform effectively within a work team and participate in a change process.
Candidates with an understanding of Child Care and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations (including the National Quality Framework) in relation to to staff qualifications and/or candidates with knowledge of cultural sensitivities in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
You must possess (or be willing to obtain) a drivers licence as well as a Working with Children Blue Card to be considered for this position.
