About the Opportunity
Due to a new contract, RF Industries (RFI) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team in Melbourne. This is a full-time, 6 -12 month contract position, with possible extension to a permanent role after this date.
In this varied role, your primary responsibilities will include project management, development of internal project management processes and the preparation and costing of future work. You will also be responsible for the delivery of field projects as well as managing the project team.
More specifically your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Ensuring customer relationships are continually maintained and strengthened;
- Managing the coordinated delivery of a project with three separate elements in a safe and effective manner;
- Championing quality for the customer - including factory and site acceptance testing oversight;
- Developing internal processes to support further, similar work;
- Attending site visits and travelling as required;
- Preparation, maintenance, completion and submission of project reports and documentation; and
- Completing other activities, as identified, relevant to the satisfactory completion of assigned tasks and the support of the RFI business.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications as well as significant experience in a similar project management role delivering projects of up to $5M. Ideally, you will have an interest in the wireless communications field and will have previously demonstrated the importance of cost, schedule and risk management through successful project delivery.
Importantly, you will be willing and able to adapt your management approach to suit different customers and different projects, and possess a strong track record in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
RFI is seeking a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team. At the same time, you'll have the proven capacity to work autonomously and manage your own time. Proven experience in using MS Project and MS Office Suite is pivotal to this role.
