About the Organisation

The Advocacy and Rights Centre is a non-profit community organisation based in Bendigo,Vic. Dedicated to human rights and social justice advocacy in the Loddon Mallee and Goulburn Valley regions, their programs include the Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre and Tenant Advocacy and Support.

Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre lawyers provide free legal information and advice to Central Victorians who cannot afford a private solicitor. They also promote law reform and deliver community legal education.

About the Opportunity

The Advocacy and Rights Centre (ARC) has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join its professional team in Bendigo, VIC.

In this truly rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing the finance, business and administrative functions of the Advocacy and Rights Centre. 

This is a hands-on role that encompasses the day-to-day management of ARC's operations, that also contributes high level organisational management as part of the Leadership Team. You will also support the development, implementation and management of policy and communication frameworks and processes.

To succeed in this position, you'll have a relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in law, commerce, management or finance) and/or significant experience in business management. You'll be an experienced senior manager, ideally within an NFP, who has successfully evaluated and implemented improved financial and administrative systems, implemented business planning and reporting process systems and managed finance and ICT functions.

ARC is seeking a resourceful leader dedicated to developing and promoting the ethos of a values based organisation. You'll also have the proven ability to shape strategic thinking, communicate with influence and make sound decisions, whilst achieving results and exemplifying personal drive and integrity. 

ARC needs a strong, reliable and self-motivated person with outstanding communication and listening skills, allowing them to cultivate productive working relationships, with all stakeholders, including volunteers.
