The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health (CEH), a part of North Richmond Community Health, works with the Victorian health, community and government sectors to achieve better health outcomes to build and improve responsiveness to culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The organisation works in partnership with culturally and socially diverse communities to promote and improve equity, health and wellbeing.

CEH's work is informed by research, evidence and experience. CEH includes a fee-for-service arm as well as discrete programs that focus on health service delivery, sexual health and viral hepatitis.

About the Opportunity

The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health has an exciting opportunity for an Online Engagement Coordinator to join their team at their new, modern facilities in Richmond. This is a flexible opportunity with options for full or part time employment (0.8-1.0 FTE).

Reporting to the Stream Leader for Strategy & Business Development, this newly created position is responsible for leading a new initiative into the development and success of the Health Translations Directory project; development of a suite of online learning products; ongoing development of the CEH website; and the opportunity to provide consulting services to external clients.

More specific duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Establishing a suite of vibrant and contemporary online learning products;
  • Ensuring the CEH website is functionally capable and contributes to the achievement of the organisation's objectives;
  • Establishing a database of CEH's contacts and overseeing its ongoing maintenance;
  • Managing Search Engine Optimisation across a number of formats;
  • Researching and making recommendations regarding software and technology;
  • Liaising with training and IT professionals to optimise outcomes across the department; and
  • Establishing project targets and evaluation criteria.

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a relevant field and have experience in developing online learning programs. Additionally, you will have experience in managing IT projects in Government and/or not for profit sectors.

This is an ideal role for a motivated and energetic individual with an interest in refugee and migrant health to expand their experience in developing online solutions and products. You will have highly developed interpersonal and project management skills, as well as strong communication skills, including writing and editing.

A committed team player, you must be adaptable and receptive to new ideas. You will display well-developed analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
