About the Opportunity
Secrets Shhh...has exciting opportunities for a full-time Assistant Store Manager and casual Retail staff to join their team in their new store located in Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, which opened in early June, 2014.
As an Assistant Store Manger, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of Secrets Shhh....
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Assisting customers and recommending products to meet their taste and requirements;
- Managing inventory levels, including ordering and transferring stock;
- Managing the store's Profit and Loss statements and compiling reports;
- Staff training, coaching, rostering and coordinating regular meetings;
- Implementing and maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising in the store; and
- Leading by example in sales volume, targets and achievements.
The successful candidate will have previous retail management experience and the demonstrated ability to lead, support and motivate a team. You'll be able to effectively roster staff, delegate responsibilities and manage multiple priorities to run your store efficiently. Importantly, you'll be able to create and maintain a high visual standard of merchandising and have the computer literacy necessary to use (or quickly learn to use) programs such as MYOB and Excel to compile reports and manage your store's Profit and Loss statements.
Candidates applying for the Casual Retail positions will bring their love of jewellery and previous retail experience to this role. All candidates must possess strong communication skills and exceptional customer skills to be considered for these roles.

Your exceptional interpersonal skills will see you liaising with customers and recommending products based on a careful assessment of their needs, budget and preferences, ensuring they leave Secrets Shhh... feeling satisfied and valued. Importantly, you'll be consistent, dependable, and capable of working autonomously.
You'll consider yourself friendly and approachable, with the ability to represent the Secrets Shhh... brand to the highest standard at all times. Importantly, you'll feel confident talking to a wide range of people of all ages, including customers, team members and management.
Previous work experience with jewellery is not required in this role — although a love of jewellery and strong desire to learn all about this multifaceted industry is.
Due to this industry's peak trading periods, you must be available to work over the Christmas and New Years holiday period, as well as weekends, public holidays and some evenings in a rotating roster.
