About the Opportunity 

St John Ambulance Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Training Resource Development Officer to join their National office based in Canberra.  This is a highly flexible part time opportunity in which you will work 3 days per week on a fixed term contract until December 31st, 2014.

Reporting to the National Training Manager, you will be responsible for preparing training and assessment resources for use in the delivery of St John training programs to the general public as well as St John staff and volunteer members

More specifically, your key responsibility will be to develop, review and evaluate training and assessment resources.  This will include facilitator guides, assessment guides, student resources and presentations. In addition, you will contribute to the development of e-learning resources and perform other duties as required. 

To be considered, you'll have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) coupled with experience within the Vocational Training sector including the strong experience in the development of vocational training programs.

St John Ambulance Australia is looking for a highly organised and driven candidate with a proven track record of "getting the job done".  In addition, you'll have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and will be able to work effectively within a team environment and independently.

While not essential, candidates with previous experience developing e-learning resources will be highly regarded.

You may need to adopt flexible working hours, including some after hours and weekends, with interstate travel required on a regular basis.
