About the Opportunity

SITECH Construction Systems has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Consultant (Construction Technology Systems) to join their Southern Region Sales team based in Clayton, VIC. 

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for developing the revenue potential of an existing client base as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities within the OEM, Equipment Hire and Civil Contracting industries.   

More specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an existing customer base within your designated territory;
  • Prospecting for new business opportunities and converting these into sales;
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of the industry as well as the SITECH Construction Systems' technology solutions; and
  • Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets.

To succeed in this role, you'll have extensive and varied experience within the Civil Construction industry (or similar) and a proven track record of success in business to business sales.  Importantly, you'll have a technical skill set that includes knowledge of construction software (i.e. Trimble) and will have the behavioural traits of a strong sales person including a persistent attitude and an aptitude for proposing solutions to technical problems. 

This role is based around building and developing relationships with both existing clients and prospective clients who require technical solutions, so you'll need outstanding interpersonal skills with a keen interest in technology which will ensure your ability to learn and sell new systems and embrace technological change.

You'll also need to be a team player with the ability to solve problems on your feet, and strong computer literacy. Most of all, you'll be focused on achieving and exceeding targets, with a drive to succeed in this challenging role. 

While not essential, candidates with qualifications in Civil Engineering or Surveying will be highly regarded.
