Nexus Human Services is a high performing, vibrant industry leader in the specialist employment sector. We are committed to enhancing the lives of people with a disability, disadvantaged jobseekers and the community as a whole. We are a not for profit company that has proven itself as one of the top providers of DES in Australia.

About the Opportunity

Nexus Human Services through partnership arrangements with Ostara Australia has fantastic opportunities for Reverse Marketers (Employment Services) to join their dynamic teams in Braddon, ACT.

The primary purpose of these positions will be to assist people with a disability, or who are recovering from a mental illness, with the goal of them achieving independent, meaningful employment.

Reverse marketing can significantly improve the chances of employment for people with a disability or mental health issue, as you will actively market particular job seekers to potential employers, rather than have employers request job seekers with specific skills.

More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers and market Nexus Ostara services and advantages to them;
  • Liaise with employers regarding upcoming and current vacancies in their organisation;
  • Provide post placement support to employers;
  • Support and liaise with DES staff to ensure appropriate placements are made and outcome targets are achieved;
  • Work with the DES group to identify areas for performance improvement, marketing opportunities and/or maintenance of information systems; and
  • Act as a link between Employers and Nexus Ostara.

Candidates with past experience in high contact roles within employment services, ideally with some sales and/or marketing experience, will be highly regarded for this role. You will require highly developed relationship management, influencing and teamwork skills, as well as a can-do approach and the ability to succeed in a performance-oriented role and culture.

You will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to negotiate at all levels to a wide range of clientele, including employers, job seekers, community stakeholders, other organisations and government departments. If you enjoy building relationships to achieve suitable outcomes; providing a high level of customer service and meeting KPI's and targets - then this could be the role for you!

An understanding of the effects of mental illness in open employment and experience in a high performing, specialist employment program will be advantageous. A reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence are essential.

Candidates who have a good understanding of, and empathy for clients with mental health related issues and/ or a disability, and a genuine desire to help others and improve the community will be best suited to this role!
