DAVROL RURAL MANAGEMENT comprises of 3 divisions:
HARDY FENCING NT has been established for over 23 years specializing in large and small fencing projects in remote and residential areas throughout NT, NW Australia and Northern South Australia.
Over the past 5 years, we have significantly expanded our core trade and have become a market leader in the fence construction industry. Fencing contracting is our business. We manufacture, supply and install all types of fencing from Coober Pedy through to Gove, Melville Island to Karratha. We have a very experienced and knowledgeable team of employees and contractors, capable of a range of work from fixing a squeaking gate to major projects in Mining, Defence and remote Indigenous Communities.
Our products range from a variety of domestic styles to high security options. We have completed major contracts for a variety of customers from domestic residents, local companies, national companies, international companies, local government, state government, federal government and international governments.
TERRITORY CONTRACTING plays an important part of the Davrol business.
Established 5 years ago, we have become a leader in the fields of airstrip construction and rehabilitation, road building and associated projects. We maintain a modern fleet of machinery that includes: CAT Graders, wheel loaders, excavators, rollers, water carts and other machinery. We operate our own road train prime movers with a range of trailers from side tipping trailers, flat trailers, and drop deck trailers for the movement of heavy machinery. This side of the business compliments many of our fencing projects, enabling Hardy Fencing to be a one stop shop for many of our clients.
HARDY FENCE HIRE is the major supplier of temporary construction fencing throughout Central Australia. Our temporary fencing is installed on many projects from Northern South Australia and throughout the Northern Territory. We maintain a depot in Tennant Creek to service the extensive Barkley area. We hold large stocks of fence panels and are able to supply the largest project at short notice.

About the Opportunity
Davrol Rural Management has an exciting opportunity for a full time Estimator/Construction Supervisor to join their team in Alice Springs, NT.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll be responsible for supervising construction works through to completion in the Alice Springs metro area. You'll also be required to attend potential customers' properties, measure up prospective jobs and create plans for prospective works.
Please note: This is a supervising role within the civil construction industry.
Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Regularly liaising with customers, installers and the Production Supervisor;
- Preparing and following up on quotes created in MYOB for prospective customers;
- Recording and advising the Production Coordinator of any on-site OH&S issues;
- Overseeing installation of awarded contracts and ensuring compliance with quotes and monitoring any variations that may arise;
- Researching and compiling tenders for lodgement; and
- Promoting sales of materials to builders/contractors.
The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified estimator, with a relevant work history and will have experience within the civil construction industry.
You'll have a strong understanding of all types of fencing installations, including commercial and residential, and display a commitment to customer service in your work, including the demonstrated ability to build and maintain good relationships with contractors and customers. Being a client-focused role, a confident, enthusiastic personality with strong people skills will be ideal for your success.
Applications from team-oriented organised professionals with good work ethics will be highly regarded. Importantly, you will be proactive in your role, with strong administrative and time-management skills, and a basic understanding of OH&S requirements. You'll also have strong computer skills with experience using Excel, Outlook, Word and MYOB, and the attention to detail required to create professional documents for clients.
