About the Opportunity

Our client has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and driven Retail Trainers to join their team on a permanent basis, at Bundaberg or Hervey Bay/Maryborough locations.

This is a great opportunity for energetic, creative and empathetic candidates, who have an innovative approach to tackling training challenges.

Working with students who have learning challenges or disabilities, you'll be responsible for delivering and facilitating training courses in Certificate II and Certificate III in Retail. Managing all facets of these courses, you will be conduct student assessments and ensure all training materials are relevant and updated.

Some of your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Delivering/facilitating training courses face-to-face;
  • Supporting and mentoring students with learning disabilities;
  • Working within strict guidelines/compliance for student files and assessments; and
  • Promoting the courses within the community.

To be considered, you must hold a Certificate III in Retail or higher and a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or equivalent. The successful candidate will need relevant vocational education training experience, coupled with work experience in the retail and/or hospitality industries.

Although not essential, prior experience teaching or working with students with learning disabilities will be highly regarded.

With excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, you'll be supporting, coaching and mentoring students to help them reach their full potential. A highly engaging attitude and an innovative approach is essential for your success in this role.

Demonstrated knowledge of industry currency and competent knowledge of ASQA compliance and regulations is a must.
