About the Opportunity

Due to their continued growth and expansion, Cross Solutions has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Cadastral/Engineering Surveyor to join their team based in Darwin, NT.

This role will be responsible for general surveying in relation to the design, set-out and as-constructed on engineering and building works.

More specifically, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Conducting topographical, volumetric, as-constructed, monitoring and deformation surveys for a range of projects;
  • Completing setting-out of works;
  • Managing the quality and safety of projects;
  • Supervising Survey Technicians and Drafting Officers;
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders; and
  • Preparing reports and calculations.

The successful candidates will be tertiary qualified (minimum of Diploma or Advanced Diploma) and have Cadastral Surveying experience (being a registered licensed surveyor in the NT, or eligible for such would be a strong advantage). Proven experience in construction and land development projects is essential. Additionally you'll require excellent skills in using a diverse range of surveying equipment, technologies and software, including GPS and AutoCAD. You'll also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.

You'll be well organised, have excellent problem solving skills and demonstrate the ability to use initiative when managing competing tasks and meeting deadlines. 

You'll also have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to liaise confidently and professionally with clients, Engineers, Architects and colleagues of all levels. Importantly, your flexible approach to working hours and excellent work ethic will ensure you complete projects in a timely and accurate manner.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates should be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors. You'll also require a C-Class Manual Driver's Licence.
