About the Opportunity
Due to increasing growth and expansion, Building Certification Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Private Building Certifier to join their friendly team at Coorparoo.
In this position, you will be providing expert advice and quality building certification service for all stages of domestic, commercial and industrial projects.
More specifically, some of your duties will include:
- Managing the existing client base and establishing relationships with new ones;
- Managing the approval process through design and construction to completion;
- Liaising with clients, referral agencies, architects and consultants;
- Conducting site inspections; and
- Managing the administrative support team.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified building surveyor / certifier with a building surveyor Level 1 and / or Level 2 Licence. You'll ideally be tertiary qualified with a degree in Applied Science - Construction Management / Building Surveying or equivalent, and will preferably have some commercial / domestic experience, so you can hit the ground running and help with the increasing workload of a flourishing business.
In this hands-on role, a background in construction is a definite advantage, as are skills in business and finance management. You'll have well developed IT skills with a proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Certification Software.

About the Benefits
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with an attractive salary circa $90,000 to $150,000 package (Qualified Building Surveyor Level 1) and/or $75,000 to $125,000 package (Assistant Building Surveyor Level 2). Due to the large service area, this role will allow you to travel to a variety of places, and all travel cost is covered by the the business.
