About the Opportunity
Foodco has a great opportunity available for an energetic and driven Senior Designer (Interior Design) to join their friendly team in Toorak, Melbourne.
In this role, you will be responsible for overall project coordination through supporting the internal design processes and to develop store designs keeping the design fresh, sustainable and relevant. You will also be responsible to design and document new stores and renewals and to ensure all new store constructions and refurbishments in a timely, safe, high quality manner.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
- Overseeing initial concepts and full documentation of projects in line with established design principles;
- Preparing and producing design presentations and construction documentation;
- Coordinating with internal and external professionals to integrate requirements and meet overall project objectives; and
- Liaising with onsite shop fitters to ensure design deliverables and timely completion of works.
To be successful, you will require a relevant tertiary qualification in Design, ideally in Interior Design, with project management experience and franchising skills being highly regarded. You'll have experience in multi-site project work, as well as people management experience. You'll also be proficient in AutoCAD and will have an understanding of detailed design documentation/contract administration.
You'll be passionate about your work and will enjoy working for a variety of brands. Your creative approach to every challenge you face will help you make this role your own. Importantly, you will be able to demonstrate your creative flair while working within existing design and company guidelines.
An ability to liaise and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, along with your dynamic personality, will be key to your success in this role. You love interacting with people, and your interpersonal, communication and networking skills will be important to effectively work in a team environment to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
The successful applicant will have with great attention to detail, a can-do attitude and experience solving design problems. You'll be highly flexible, adaptable, calm under pressure and will enjoy a varied, dynamic work environment. You'll also enjoy the challenge of multitasking and getting things done working within deadlines.
