About the Opportunity 

Lifetime Connect has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Development Representative - Community Services to join their dynamic team in Nambucca Valley, NSW on a part-time, one year contract basis, with a view to extend.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the provision of new business either through government funded programs and services, private/ commercial fee - for- service opportunities, strategic partnerships, increased membership and fundraising. You will be growing the funding base of Lifetime Connect through state government, federal government, commercial contracts, fundraising and new customers for services that align and add value to the overall purpose of the organisation.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Creating and influencing opportunities for business development that will provide longer term sustainability for Lifetime Connect Programs;
  • Ensuring ongoing collaboration and alignment of activities between policy, programs, marketing and fundraising to maximise opportunities for program development;
  • Developing and executing a business plan for Lifetime Connect to achieve set performance targets and objectives that will support market penetration and product/service development;
  • Supporting and encouraging a cooperative and inclusive culture within Lifetime Connect staff, Board and customers;
  • Working with program coordinators and management to identify their business development needs and generate solutions to meet the needs; and
  • Identifying potential risks, and/or opportunities for business development and anticipate the impact of social, political and financial dynamics on business opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have some experience and knowledge of the community services industry. You'll be a confident, dynamic person with some experience in marketing projects. Your ability to position Lifetime Connect as the best investment option as compared to their competitors through catchy advertising and promotions is vital to your success in this role.

A self-motivated, driven and highly organised professional, you'll be able to effectively manage your time and balance competing priorities effectively. Your advanced interpersonal, communication and networking skills will be important to effectively work in a team environment to maximise effectiveness and efficiency. You'll also have strong computer skills with a good grasp on the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.

An ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, along with your dynamic personality, will be key to your success in this role. Importantly, you'll be able to build dynamic and long-lasting relationships with potential investors and build a large, supportive client base.
