The beautiful country town of Coolah is located just over 4 hours north-west of Sydney and around one hour from the exciting Mudgee wine region and the upper Hunter Valley. Coolah and the Warrumbungle Shire offers a wealth of outdoor activities for its residents, including bush walking in the local national parks (including the  renowned Warrumbungle National Park and Coolah Tops), fishing, bike riding, horse riding, and much more.

The stunning night skies, formed by a combination of low pollution, very low humidity and limited cloud cover make the Warrumbungle Shire and particularly Coonabarabran an ideal location for serious astronomers and amateur star gazers alike.
