About the Opportunity

Due to their continued growth and expansion, Hammond Smeallie & Co. Pty. Ltd has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Registered Surveyor or experienced Graduate/Technician to join their team based in Hornsby, NSW.

This role will be responsible for conducting relevant field survey tasks whether residential, civil or construction, and prepare quotations when required. You'll also liaise with clients and project staff and ensure project deliverables are met.

The successful candidates will be tertiary qualified in surveying with a thorough knowledge of surveying programs, and have surveying experience. A successful Graduate/Technician Surveyor will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience. Strata and sub-division experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will have in using a diverse range of surveying equipment, technologies and software, including Leica, Topcon, AutoCAD, Microstation, Magnet and / or CivilCAD/BricsCAD. The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory position with demonstrated experience leading and managing survey teams.

You'll be reliable, well organised, have excellent problem solving skills and demonstrate the ability to use initiative when managing competing tasks and meeting deadlines. 

You'll also have strong written and verbal communication  and interpersonal skills, enabling you to liaise confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues of all levels. Importantly, your flexible approach to working hours and excellent work ethic will ensure you complete projects in a timely and accurate manner. You'll also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, as well as the ability to lead a field team.

Due to the nature of this role, it would be an advantage for candidates to be able to drive a manual vehicle and hold a C-Class Manual Driver's Licence.
