About the Opportunity

McClelland Drive Self Storage now has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Self Storage Manager to join their team in Langwarrin, VIC. This is a full time role, primarily Monday to Friday. However, some Saturday morning work will be required on a rotating roster, with time off in lieu mid-week.

Working closely with the Administration Manager, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Self Storage facility.

More specifically, some of your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Managing the team of sales consultants and making sure they adhere to internal administration and sales processes;
  • Overseeing accounts receivable;
  • Ensuring standard rental contracts are set up correctly and adhered to;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers;
  • Answering incoming enquiries online, on the phone and face to face; and
  • Converting enquiries into bookings and sales.

McClelland Drive Self Storage is seeking an individual with proven experience in managing a small team.  This will allow you to provide leadership and support to the team of sales consultants, inspiring and motivating them to achieve success. You will also understand what it means to lead by example, not only encouraging your team, but working alongside them to get the job done. This role will suit someone who has a positive attitude, good sense of humor and brings energy to their environment.

A background in self-storage and/or removals would be ideal, as would a history in arrears management. You will be dealing with people from all backgrounds in this role, and at times will need to interact with difficult customers. As such, it is essential you have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills when liaising with clients. Acting with emotional maturity, empathy and intelligence, you will be skilled in conflict resolution, helping you to diffuse tense situations and keep clients happy.

As this position will require using certain computer software, you will be confident in the use of computer programs. Experience with CMS software, particularly sitelink, will be highly regarded.
