The company's head office is in Brisbane, however Certis also operates from offices in Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth. Employing 20 technical staff and approximately 10 support staff, the company is currently in the process of expanding their Sydney and Canberra offices. 

The Canberra office was involved in the Canberra Regional Cancer Centre at the Hospital precinct, as well as the Centrelink development in Greenway. Certis is also working on a range of high profile tenancy projects and commercial projects like Metronode data centres and Mixed Use Developments across Sydney.

About the Opportunity

Due to expansion, Certis now has two exciting opportunities for experienced Building Certifiers to join their Sydney and Canberra teams. These are full time roles (38 hours), Monday to Friday.

These positions will primarily be responsible for providing expert advice and quality building certification services for all stages of domestic, commercial and industrial projects.

More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Carrying out inspections;
  • Liaising with architects and consultants;
  • Issuing construction and occupation certificates;
  • Carrying out BCA assessments;
  • Performing building audits; and
  • Managing the approval process from design through to construction.

 

These positions both require Building Certifiers that can show demonstrated commercial experience. Certis is looking for individuals with exceptional communication skills, allowing you to liaise with staff, contacts and stakeholders. You will also need solid computer and organisational skills in order to manage an existing client base. Appropriate accreditation is required for both positions.

Please Note: This position requires you to hold a current driver's license.
