Due to continued expansion, Schenck Process has a new, exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join their growing team in Henderson,WA.

Reporting to the Supply Systems & Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for creating and tracking a periodic production schedule based on incoming demands from various customer sales and project requirements. This schedule shall maximise workshop utlisation and minimse downtime and the planning will primarily be done using SAP MRP & PP modules.

Your other responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Monitoring and analysing performance to schedule across the supply chain;
  • Coordinating with internal customers to align demand and manufacturing capacity;
  • Coordinating with key Operational teams to ensure on time supply of parts and services into the maunfacturing processes;
  • Assisting Operations Manager in actively managing the production schedule;
  • Researching and assigning manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed;
  • Acting as Key User for SAP Production Planning; and
  • Continually improving planning processes to reduce budget issues and schedule delays.

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate considerable experience in planning and scheduling in a manufacturing and production environment. Trade qualifications, or significant hands on practical experience in a similar position, are essential for this role. Importantly, you will have significant experience working with SAP, in particular the Production Planning (PP) module and how this interacts with other modules including MM and IM.

You'll possess a strong technical mind and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand technical drawings and manuals. Additionally, your strong business acumen and analytical mind will allow you to perform cost analysis' and assist with production forecasting.

Schenck Process is seeking applicants with extremely well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent negotiating abilities. You'll be comfortable working across functional business units, and will be able to effectively manage conflicting requirements and ensure win-win outcomes for all involved. 

Importantly, you'll be able to drive new processes and champion their use and implementation throughout the business, and will be constantly looking for process improvement opportunities. This is a highly autonomous role and you'll be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
