About the Opportunity
Australia's leading storage provider, Storage King, continues to grow, with exciting opportunities for full time Storage Consultants to join their team in Tweed Heads & Kingscliff on a 6 month contract - Tuesday to Saturday roster.
The role will see you assisting in carrying out day-to-day operations of the self storage facility.
In this position you will be providing customer sales, service, administrative support, facility maintenance and a “hands on” approach to working within a small team and covering a diverse range of tasks.
More specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Engaging customers and driving the conversion of inquiries into sales;
- Promoting the sale of services and products;
- Dealing with customer inquiries and following up with appropriate and timely action;
- Prioritising daily tasks such as incoming phone calls, emails, dealing with customers and deliveries;
- Maintaining customer records, ensuring that all details and charges are recorded accurately and reconciled; and
- Reporting safety incidents and hazards, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
The ideal Storage Consultant will have at demonstrated experience in a high volume retail sales role.
Please note this IS NOT a counter sales role.
You will bring a positive, 'can do' approach with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment, and will model behaviour that demonstrates you are always willing to go 'over and above' to ensure customer satisfaction. The successful applicants will be energetic, personable, and confident while conversing with customers to determine their requirements. Above all, you'll be comfortable spotting when there is the opportunity for a sale, asking for the business, and then finalising the deal!
This role will see you working in a fast paced, demanding environment with competing and changing priorities, therefore your ability to think on your feet regarding your workload will be key to your success.
This position requires an applicant who possesses proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, great numeracy skills, initiative and the ability and desire to meet (and exceed) targets and KPI's. You will also have great written and verbal communication skills, and a knowledge of basic OHS principles. Previous marketing experience would be highly regarded, however is not essential.
A drivers license and daily access to a road worthy vehicle is essential.
