About the Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, IT Masters has an exciting opportunity for a talented, dedicated and hard-working IT Support Technician to join the team in Brisbane, QLD.
In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support to the information technology infrastructure of IT Masters customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Repairing computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers and associated peripherals;
- Assisting in the design and development of IT solutions for clients;
- Providing ongoing remote operational support of clients' hardware, software and networks utilizing IT Masters remote monitoring system;
- Scheduling jobs for self and other technicians using IT Masters Connectwise system;
- Diagnosing and returning failed hardware, working with vendors as necessary on RMAs and fixes;
- Monitoring stock levels, coordinate stocktakes and prepare reports for Management; and
- Other duties as directed by the employer from time to time.
To be considered for this role you will hold a degree in IT or a related discipline, or will have relevant tertiary qualifications and experience working in an IT support environment. Ideally you'll have experience in providing IT support to end-users and server experience.
With a strong understanding of a wide range of IT systems, you'll be able to demonstrate your experience in the troubleshooting of software and hardware related issues. Additionally, you'll have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP and network principles, and the ability to install, configure and support servers, desktops and firewalls. Current Microsoft server and networking knowledge is essential for this role.
You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. You'll demonstrate skills in time management, multi-tasking, prioritising and problem solving, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
Ideally, you'll have knowledge of, and experience with, Macintosh/Unix/Linux operating systems, Netware, Labtech and Connectwise, however this is not essential for this role.
A current QLD driver's licence is a requirement for this role.
