About the Opportunity

NPA Family and Community Services ATSI Corporation (NPA) has a rare opportunity for a Quality Systems Officer to join their team in Bamaga on a full-time permanent basis.

Working in a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team, your main aim will be to maintain the accreditation process within the organisation, under QIC Health & Community Service Standards and QLD Human Services Quality Standards. This role will also be responsible for implementing RAGCP Standards for General Practice (clinical). This will involve working with Program Managers and Team Leaders across the organisation to ensure that they understand the accreditation process, and to assist them to meet the standards required within each program area.

NPA is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates, such as those who have completed tertiary studies in Health, Information Systems, Quality Assurance or a similar field. You will also require previous experience implementing and/or maintaining accreditation and quality systems, preferably in a health and/or social services setting.

This role is best suited to an individual with previous experience working with indigenous people, who has knowledge and understanding of current social issues for indigenous people and communities. While you will be primarily working with indigenous individuals and/or families of Aboriginal and Torres Islander descent, you may be required to work with families/individuals of other cultural backgrounds in the area — such as tourists, workers, contractors or transients.

Please note: This position requires that the applicant has no criminal history, a current driver's licence, and possession or eligibility for a Working with Children Blue Card.
