About the Opportunity

Due to increased growth and exciting expansion plans, Little Aussie Directories has an opportunity for a mature-minded Sales & Account Manager to join their friendly team.

This position is based in Canning Vale, Perth, but will involve regular local travel to meet with existing and potential clients. You'll also have the opportunity to work from home when practical.

Operating within a small sales team and reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for locating, signing and retaining small business advertisers for Little Aussie Directories' suite of print directories and online products. Initially, this role will be focused on closing new advertiser sales and developing a client base, with a view to adding account management to the role in the second year of employment.

More specifically, your duties may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Researching and identifying potential advertisers within your territory through direct approaches, referral generation and other methods;
  • Following up on leads and presenting Little Aussie Directories' advertising solutions to potential clients;
  • Managing existing client accounts through effective management of their advertising, renewing advertising spaces, upgrading of advertising products and troubleshooting issues as they arise; 
  • Reviewing artwork and written copy for accuracy and effectiveness and liaising with the relevant teams for amendments if necessary;
  • Developing innovative strategies to help increase business category sales; and
  • Generating referrals from existing advertisers and other sources for use by the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced sales professional to further their skills working with small-medium sized businesses in a small, successful team promoting an expanding suite of products.

To be considered, you must have proven and extensive B2B sales experience, ideally with a focus on small / medium business solutions. You'll be skilled in prospecting, and utilise a range of traditional and innovative methods to generate and qualify leads for follow up. Importantly, you'll be committed to your own ongoing professional development, and join the role eager to learn and use Little Aussie Directories' sales methods to complement your own experience and skills.

As a salesperson, you'll be driven and resilient, yet have the patience for long sales cycles. You'll be motivated — not daunted — by your targets, and have the high level organisation skills to manage your regular sales tasks with new and ongoing advertisers. Experience in conducting administrative duties related to sales will be highly beneficial, and you'll appreciate the value of established systems and processes in sales and account management. Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills are essential, as you'll ultimately be responsible for the accuracy and quality of client advertisements.

Little Aussie Directories is seeking applications from punctual candidates with excellent communication and rapport-building abilities, as well as a mature disposition and calm working style. You'll be looking for a long-term sales role in which you can build a strong client base and enjoy flexibility in your working schedule when practical.

Skill and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as access to reliable transport is essential.

Please note, face to face interviews will be conducted for shortlisted candidates the week commencing Monday 6th July. The anticipated start date for the successful candidate will be the week commencing Monday 27th July.

You'll also be provided with a laptop, iPad, mobile phone and coverage of travel expenses incurred.

Commission is UNCAPPED in this role, giving you excellent earning potential. High performers can enjoy earnings of approximately $120K p.a., and the sales team enjoy access to team incentives for meeting group targets, such as overseas holidays!

Additionally, you'll enjoy highly flexible working arrangements, with potential to work up to three days per week from home or on the road.
