The care and support delivered through the Home Care program gives eligible customers the opportunity to continue to enjoy the comfort and independence of living in their own home.
Coordinated programs are delivered by trained staff from Royal Freemasons, so it's someone you know who comes to the door. These programs are individually tailored to each customer's needs depending on their circumstances and preferences, and include help and assistance with a wide range of personal and household tasks as well as on-going review of care. Royal Freemasons encourage feedback to assist their provision of the most appropriate range of services while ensuring clients have choice and control in decision-making.

About the Opportunity
Royal Freemasons now has exciting opportunities for Personal Care Attendants to join their team in Melbourne, VIC. These are casual positions.
In these roles, the primary responsibility will be to deliver the best possible standard of personal care to customers in their own homes.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Preparing meals;
- Prompting customers to take their medication;
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as showering, dressing and grooming;
- Performing domestic duties such as vacuuming, dusting and laundry;
- Providing continence care, colostomy care and catheter leg bag care;
- Applying compression stocking;
- Transporting customers to appointments;
- Shopping; and
- Providing social support.
Royal Freemasons are looking for experienced carers with a minimum of a Cert III in Aged Care or Home and Community Care, or similar relevant qualifications. It is also essential that you have a demonstrated history and experience in a personal care position. This will be allow you to demonstrate that you have the capability to provide customer care and will ensure you are able to assess customer needs on arrival in order to make appropriate decisions on what each individual needs.

Your warm and friendly nature, along with a genuine desire to better the lives of others, will help you to build rapport and develop strong, trusting relationships with your customers.
This position is varied and will see you multitasking so you must be independent, with exceptional time management skills. These will come in handy when managing customers' medication and appointment schedules, as you will be responsible for keeping these on track.
Due to the nature of this role, it is essential you own a smart phone with access to internet and your own registered, roadworthy and reliable vehicle (mileage allowance will be provided).
