About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our professional restoration team.  

Based in Coquitlam and travelling to projects throughout the Lower Mainland, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of Flood, Contents, Construction, Hazmat and Facilities Departments. 

Serving as a senior management team member, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implement policies, procedures, and organizational structure for assigned operating unit within the framework of corporate policy; 
  • Create efficiencies and consistency with flood, construction, contents, hazmat and facilities operations; 
  • Assist in the establishment and ensure compliance of operational unit’s short-term and long-term goals with overall corporate objectives; 
  • Provide support to any number of projects from an operational, and resource standpoint; 
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to department managers toward their professional development; 
  • Monitoring availability and flow of personnel as well as hiring, motivating and assigning teams to projects; 
  • Coordinate and confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems and difficulties, and authorize department operational procedures within corporate framework; 
  • In conjunction with the project managers and superintendents, responsible for maintaining good working relationships and promoting good public relations with the Restoration Community; 
  • Responsible for the future outlook for area and in investigating all leads connected with the securing of new work; and 
  • Ensure all relevant safety standards are followed according to Canstar’s and WorkSafe BC requirements; 

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in the construction or restoration industry.

A Mold and Asbestos Ticket is an asset, as is a WHMIS Certificate and valid Level 1 First Aid Certificate.   

Most importantly, our ideal candidate will have a strong safety background and be a proven team builder.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, you will be an outstanding communicator, both written and verbal, and be a strong negotiator.  

Accustomed to working in fast-paced or emergency situations, you will have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

Proficient at using computers, specific knowledge or experience with Xactimate is an asset.  

The ability to work a full time schedule with flexibility for overtime and travel is essential for success in this role. Similarly, a Class 5 Drivers' Licence, clean Drivers' Abstract and Criminal Record Check is also required.
