About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Restoration Project Manager to join our professional restoration team.
In this fast-paced and challenging role, you will be responsible for:
- On site estimation for residential and commercial mitigation and reconstruction;
- Schedule clean-up crews and equipment;
- Schedule and supervise sub trades;
- Meet with Insurance adjusters and clients;
- Document claims, scopes of work and services provided;
- Manage contracts;
- Champion Canstar’s Customer Service Philosophy and create customer cheerleaders from all contact with customers;
- Support and follow Canstar’s Credo which outlines the respect we have for one another and our customers; and
- Ensure all relevant safety standards are followed according to Canstar and WorkSafe BC requirements.
This role will perfectly suit someone who has 5 years of experience with disaster restoration contracting, including 2 years of disaster restoration project management experience.
With sound knowledge of disaster restoration and structural repair, you will also use your knowledge of the restoration and insurance industries to gain understanding of each client and the requirements of each project.
With strong working knowledge of basic construction practices, you will be capable of effectively reading and interpreting plans and technical specifications, allocating resources and managing budgets.
Highly organized and detail oriented, you must have proven troubleshooting, problem-solving and negotiation skills. In addition, you will be a strong communicator and proven leader, and will have excellent multi-tasking and business management abilities.
Computer and technology savvy, you will maintain general awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application to achieve greater efficiency.
The ability to work a full time schedule with flexibility for overtime and travel is essential for success in this role. Similarly, a Class 5 Drivers' Licence, clean Drivers' Abstract and Criminal Record Check is also required.
