About the Organisation

Founded in 1980, Australian Nursing Home Foundation (ANHF) is one of the largest Chinese aged care organisations in Australia. ANHF is a community-based, non-profit organisation founded with a vision to help support and care for the elderly in Australia's Chinese community. There is a particular focus on those with no close relatives in Australia or who have lost contact with their relatives overseas and are becoming increasingly socially isolated.

From those humble beginnings of one small nursing home, it has grown to be a well respected and recognised provider of aged care to the Chinese and Southeast Asian communities of the Sydney region, and is a model provider to the culturally and linguistically diverse communities of Sydney.

Over the course of 30 successful years, the Foundation has grown to over 400 staff and over 100 volunteers providing a range of community and residential services.
