About the Organisation

Founded in 1980, Australian Nursing Home Foundation (ANHF) is one of the largest Chinese aged care organisations in Australia. ANHF is a community-based, non-profit organisation founded with a vision to help support and care for the elderly in Australia's Chinese community. There is a particular focus on those with no close relatives in Australia or who have lost contact with their relatives overseas and are becoming increasingly socially isolated.

From those humble beginnings of one small nursing home, it has grown to be a well respected and recognised provider of aged care to the Chinese and Southeast Asian communities of the Sydney region, and is a model provider to the culturally and linguistically diverse communities of Sydney.

Over the course of 30 successful years, the Foundation has grown to over 400 staff and over 100 volunteers providing a range of community and residential services.

About the Opportunity

Due to organisational growth, ANHF is seeking a Quality Risk & Compliance Coordinator (Cantonese Speaking) to join the team in Campsie, Sydney.

Reporting to the General Manager, Community Care, this position is responsible for developing and managing the services, policies, procedures, audit tools and relevant information for the provision of high quality community care services. You will provide support in policies and procedural reviews and support the QRC Manager in internal duties for Community Care Services.

Some of your additional key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating understanding of policies and procedures reviews with relevant parties from various sections of the organisation;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements through desktop research and Anstat Legislation Updates;
  • Analysing and reporting trends from internal duties and registers including QPS;
  • Maintaining the Continuous Improvement Register, Risk Register and WHS Register; and
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in implementing quality and risk management systems, as well as research projects and writing reports. This ideally will be in community aged care but candidates with significant experience in other fields will also be considered. 

You will be a strong communicator (written and verbal), with well-developed interpersonal skills and leadership and mentoring abilities. ANHF is seeking a candidate with strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail.

Due to the nature of this role, being conversationally fluent in Cantonese is essential. A current driver's licence and national police check are also required for this role.
