About the Opportunity
Join an innovative leader in renewable energy projects in Coorparoo, Brisbane as a full time Production Engineer.
There are two technical divisions within Tritium – engineering and production.
The engineering team is responsible for the research, idea inception, development, design and testing (including end user testing) of all of the new technologies and products, based on knowledge of market demand in various product opportunity areas.
The production team works closely with the engineering team to take new product designs and form them into robust, reliable, repeatable products that reflect the quality of the team that built them.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you'll be responsible for bridging the gap between production and engineering to ensure all projects meet the required specifications and timelines. Working with overseas manufacturers, you'll be focused on maintaining quality standards to ISO 9001, as well as ensuring the build, materials and documents are correct for all jobs.
To be successful in this role, you will hold qualifications in engineering, specifically electrical and electronic, as well as experience with product design. With the opportunity to make a significant impact in this exciting and innovative industry, you'll demonstrate relevant electrical and electronic experience along with an understanding of testing and validation.
Experience with the following processes is essential:
- Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI);
- Bill of Materials (BOM);
- Engineering Change Order (ECO);
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); and
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
You will also have experience implementing lean strategy and continuous improvement activities, managing equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, monitoring production performance and first pass yields, and troubleshooting production.
Imperative to the role is your experience sourcing and liaising with suppliers. Working with internal, external and overseas stakeholders you'll have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as a high degree of persistence and patience.
You will also be a highly detailed and meticulous individual with strong organisational skills.
