About the Opportunity
FMSA Architecture has an incredible opportunity for a hard-working Project Architect, ideally with 3-4 years post-grad experience, to join their innovative team in Melbourne. Under the direction of senior architects, you will initially be assisting them with a major project involving multiple building types. This is also a chance to be taken on-site and learn from the best in the business.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing assistance to lead architects in coordinating communication with builder and client representatives;
- Liaising with other project team members to facilitate requirements and resolve any arising issues;
- Providing technical design solutions and contract administration support;
- Assisting with carrying out architectural works including inspections and certifying works on site; and
- Assisting the lead architects with planning, organising, implementing and coordinating of architectural works;
Our successful candidate will be a confident and self-motivated learner who's willing to ask questions and hit the ground running to get the job done. Your drive will motivate you to learn from the senior architects on this project and become an excellent all-rounder, ready to step up in the company for future projects.
Working with a variety of stakeholders, your attention to detail and communication skills will be unparalleled as you build effective working relationships with all members of the team.
You will have experience using programs such as ArchiCAD or Revit (although full training up to company standard will be provided), as well as sound general computer skills.
