About the Opportunity

Mikcon have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Hire Sales & Project Manager to join their team in Box Hill, NSW.

In this highly varied role you will primarily be responsible for the effective management and utilisation of plant equipment, including managing the hire and sale of equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment.

Some of you key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for new and current clients regarding plant and /or equipment hire, including repairs and maintenance;
  • Managing sale and hire contracts in conjunction with senior management;
  • Managing the staff on plant hire projects, as well as yard staff, ensuring all documentation is completed;
  • Developing and monitoring financial budgets and reports;
  • Managing the maintenance schedules for plant machinery, including ensuring appropriate stock of spares and consumables is maintained; and
  • Scheduling transportation for plant and equipment.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate significant hands on experience in a similar role, ideally working with heavy machinery and equipment.

You'll be highly organised, able to effectively manage and schedule complex projects. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you be both an effective leader, as well as able to provide excellent customer service.

Skilled in negotiations and contract management, and with strong business acumen, you be able to maximise the usage of plant equipment, ensuring profitability and sustainability are always at the forefront.

Previous experience using Total Workforce Management Systems such as Damstra and 3DS Safety, as well as the ability to carry out risk assessments, will be looked upon favourably however this is not essential for this position.
