About the Opportunities

Mental Health Australia has opportunities for a Project Manager and a Project Officer to join its team in Canberra, on either a full or part time basis. This is a temporary opportunity until 30th June, 2016.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and delivery of the Mental Health in Multicultural Australia (MHiMA) Project, and providing project management advice and leadership to ensure any risks or issues are identified and effectively managed.

The Project Officer will provide a high level of support to the Project Manager across all project activities to ensure successful delivery, and will also be responsible for managing and implementing the Framework for Mental Health in Multicultural Australia.

Candidates applying for the Project Manager role must be experienced project/program managers with the ability to effectively lead and manage national projects and think strategically. Candidates applying for the Project Officer role should have proven project/program skills and experience.

Candidates will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, alongside the ability to engage a broad audience of diverse people to facilitate and achieve project outcomes.

Strong knowledge, understanding and experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, alongside strong understanding of current issues relevant to the mental health sector will be vital to these roles.

Candidates will also be highly organised, and confident in their ability to manage competing priorities in order to ensure deadlines are met.

About the Benefits

Mental Health Australia will offer the successful candidates competitive remuneration packages, based on their level of skill and experience.

The Project Manager will be offered a remuneration package circa $80,000 - $90,000 Full Time Equivalent. The Project Officer will be offered a remuneration package circa $60,000 - $70,000 Full Time Equivalent.

Both roles will enjoy extensive salary packaging options, which will greatly increase your take home pay.
