About the Opportunity

Schiavello Construction have an opportunity for a driven Project Manager to join their vibrant and friendly team in Brisbane, on a full-time basis. This highly varied role will see you involved in the planning and coordination of all aspects for projects ranging from $500k to $10 mil, from initial tendering through to delivery, in order to ensure smooth and effective service delivery. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all coordination and planning of all project aspects including documentation, contract negotiation, scheduling, procurement, financials, selection of sub-contractors, and coordination of site activities;
  • Managing project specifications, timeframes, and budgets;
  • Coordinating day-to-day activities of site supervisors, contract administrators, and tradesmen;
  • Liaising with senior management and clients and building and maintaining strong working relationships; and
  • Identifying risks in contract documentation, and preparing solutions for issues as they arise.

Schiavello are seeking an experienced, tertiary qualified project manager. The successful candidate will be a have a current building license (or eligible to obtain) and significant experience in construction industry. This role is ideal for an Owner Builder, looking to advance their career. In addition, experience within a supervisory and/or managerial role will be paramount to your success.

A strong business acumen with the ability to make commercially astute decisions will ensure you flourish in this position. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will grant you the ability to establish and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, alongside the capability to effectively liaise with senior management and colleagues. 

You’ll be capable of effectively managing competing priorities in order to ensure deadlines are met, whilst ensuring you maintain accuracy and efficiency. Importantly, you will be approachable leader and team player.

Confidence in using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, will be advantageous to this position. In addition, whilst it isn’t a requirement, a trade qualification and/or experience would be held in high regard.
