About the Organisation

Women’s Health West (WHW) is a not-for-profit organisation providing women’s health services in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne, with a specific focus on servicing women and children affected by domestic violence.

Women’s Health West provides a range of programs and support services to women and their children in various stages of crisis, from court support, crisis housing and case management, through to services promoting healing and recovery. The organisation also plans and implements activities designed to promote women’s health, safety and wellbeing across three key areas – sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and prevention of violence and discrimination.

The organisation works collaboratively with and liaises with community, government and local agencies and police, providing secondary consultation services to work together for the betterment of the community.

About the Opportunity

Due to recent growth, Women's Health West has a rewarding opportunity for a Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP) Co-ordinator to join their passionate team in Melbourne. 

The main aim of this position is to oversee the RAMP and its processes, including assessment of referrals, administration and record keeping, as well as driving relationships with stakeholders in the community.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and facilitating the referrals process;
  • Writing and implementing WHW programs;
  • Ensuring privacy of referrals is upheld at all times;
  • Working with community stakeholders to develop initiatives to increase awareness of the organisation’s services and programs; and
  • Managing the policies, procedures and documentation aligned with auditing processes.

Applicants for this role must be female, as permitted by VCAT Exemption no. A128/2012.

The successful candidate will possess a qualification and experience in Social Work, Family Violence and Child Protection Services, Welfare, Psychology or a related discipline and will be able to demonstrate experience in, or a strong understanding of the impacts of domestic and family violence.

You will need to demonstrate your ability to make informed decisions for the benefit of clients and the organisation, particularly when liaising with external stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of working collaboratively, and building relationships within the community, to ensure the best outcomes for your clients and for the organisation. You will possess key negotiation skills and the capacity to work with people from varied backgrounds and experience, which will assist in your ability to adapt to changing environments.   

Importantly, you will have the capacity to review and analyse complex situations and obstacles, in order to provide workable, low-impact solutions for our clients.

Your exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with your well-developed time management skills, will ensure your success in this position. You will also possess great administration and organisational skills, allowing you to effectively manage appointments and meetings for all of your clients.
