About the Opportunity

A full-time opportunity has arisen for a Customer Marketing Executive to join the marketing team, working on the Samuel Smith & Son portfolio of brands.

Reporting to the Trade Planning Manager, you will be primarily responsible for delivering and executing promotional campaigns within retail chains, to convert brand strategy into sales actions. 

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): 

  • Developing promotional campaigns within retail chains, across all mediums (including online);
  • Liaising with external suppliers to create promotional material, for example in-store signage;
  • Building relationships with key corporate partners to drive brand and company messaging; and
  • Travelling inter-state to major capital cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane etc) to promote campaigns (max once per month).

To be successful in this role you must have previous commercial experience in a sales or trade marketing field, ideally within the FMCG/liquor industry, with a desire to move into a marketing role. Degree qualifications in marketing or a related field and/or an understanding of the wine industry is desirable, however not mandatory for your success in this role. 

Most importantly you will be a hands-on, results orientated operator who can work to tight deadlines to deliver creative and targeted promotional campaigns. You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and be articulate in pitching campaign strategies to the sales and marketing teams to get the best sales results for the business.
