About the Organisation

The Aboriginal people of Central Australia own CAAMA through an association and have clear objectives focused on the social, cultural and economic advancement of Aboriginal people.

CAAMA promotes Aboriginal culture, language, dance and music while generating economic benefits in the form of training, employment and income generation. CAAMA is proud of their reputation for producing media products that engenders pride in Aboriginal culture, while informing and educating the wider community of the richness and diversity of the Aboriginal peoples of Australia.

CAAMA is an award winning organisation and has recently received the Diversity Award from the Australian and and New Zealand Internet Awards (ANZIAs) which recognises excellence in the use of internet by businesses, organisations and individuals. Additionally, a production department trainee also won the "Best Director" award at the recent Indigenous Remote Communication Association (IRCA) Awards.
