About the Communities

Peppimenarti is an Aboriginal community in the Daly River region of the Northern Territory, approximately 320km south-west of Darwin. Further up the creek about half an hour drive is Pandella Waterfall. Peppimenarti is also close to the Moyle River, a favoured spot for fishing and hunting. An hour drive from Peppimenarti is the beach.

Palumpa is a community of 250 friendly and hospitable locals about 375km south west of Darwin. The community consists of a shop, clinic, workshop, council, abattoir / butcher, power station. The town also has a local school with over 150 students enrolled. In the Dry, Darwin is about five hours away by car. However, in the Wet you'll experience the true outback experience when the roads close and barge and plane are the only links with the rest of the world. Palumpa is a dry community.
