About the Opportunities

Due to an exciting growth period, Leffler Simes Architects (LSA) now has an opportunity available for an Architect to join their busy team in Spring Hill, Brisbane, on a full-time basis. 

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Architect will be primarily responsible for producing drawings and designs for retail clients, as well as assisting in the delivery of projects (contracts administration). 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing all construction documentation and drawings for a variety of retail project works;
  • Liaising with project team members to facilitate requirements and resolve any arising issues;
  • Assisting the lead architects with planning, organising, implementing, and coordinating of architectural works;
  • Assisting with carrying out architectural works including inspections and certifying works on site;
  • Liaising directly with clients to ascertain project requirements; and 
  • Providing contracts administration support to lead architects for project delivery.

Leffler Simes are seeking a tertiary qualified Architect who has at least 4 years' post graduate experience within a commercial and/or retail environment. You'll have proficiency using both AutoCAD and Revit, with prior exposure to contracts administration ensuring you're able to provide lead architects with a high level of support in project delivery. Acting as a first point of contact for your clients, you'll have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both clients and subcontractors in a professional and helpful manner. 

This fast-paced role requires a candidate who can hit the ground running, managing competing priorities and working within tight deadlines. 

It goes without saying that you will have strong attention to detail, be well presented and be confident in your communication skills when liaising with clients, consultants, and other internal stakeholders.
