Other day-to-day activities will include helping Patrick work through physical barriers to activities, meal preparation, and household duties. Above all, you will strive to support him towards achieving as much independence as possible.

Hours are currently Monday, 8:30am - 1:30pm and Tuesday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, with other occasional shifts offered at times. Support hours spent with Patrick also have a view to increase in future, dependent on funding. Alongside the two days per week with Patrick, you'll be offered the choice to take on further shifts within other programs with the Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre to supplement your income.

About You

You're a friendly, dedicated, and welcoming person who has a strong commitment to a good life and the rights of the individual. Warm and engaging, you have a commitment to encouraging independence wherever possible. In addition, you have strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Demonstrated prior experience providing support and assistance to people with a disability will be key to your success.

You're attentive and proactive, with the initiative to respond appropriately to situations as they arise. As part of a larger team, your commitment will see you working alongside Patrick to support him in achieving his goals. Importantly, you're committed to building a lasting, long-term relationship with Patrick as you become an integral part of his support network.

Please note: It is a requirement that you have a current driver's licence and access to a reliable, fully-insured vehicle.

About the Benefits

This position presents a highly rewarding opportunity to provide support and commitment to Patrick whilst building a strong and lasting relationship. Alongside the two days per week with Patrick, you'll be offered the choice to take on further shifts within other programs with the Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre to supplement your income. You'll be offered an attractive hourly rate alongside penalty rates for any overtime worked, as well as a car allowance to cover your travel costs whilst with Patrick.

You'll be entering a close-knit team of dedicated and experienced individuals who all provide support to Patrick in a number of ways, meaning you'll be provided with an unrivaled level of mentoring, guidance, and support.
