About the Opportunity

Currently, B.-d. Farm Paris Creek is actively hiring a full-time Pasteuriser to join their dedicated team in Paris Creek, SA. This is a Casual role working full-time hours, however after a six-month probation period, this role will become permanent full-time. 

Reporting and providing support to the Production Supervisor/Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that during your shift all products are produced within timeframe deadlines, quality standards and you consistently supply the quantities required by the production teams.

Other duties include, but will not be limited to:

  • Receiving, pasteurising and processing the raw product;
  • Setting up and operating the pasteurizer, homogenizer, separator and associated equipment;
  • Preparing ingredients for current and following day production;
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards inside and outside production areas; and
  • Distributing milk/cream at specific temperature and quality standards to correct location.

B.-d. Farm Paris Creek are looking for applicants with demonstrated experience in pasteurisation, sterilisation and mixing. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of GMP and HACCP principles, to ensure product parameters are met when mixing, formulating and/or pasteurising products through Pasteurisers and speciality processing equipment. Relevant qualifications in food processing are desirable and specific experience in the dairy industry would be highly advantageous. 

Your ability to prioritise tasks when dealing with competing deadlines in a high-pressure situation, as well as the capacity to work independently in this autonomous role will ensure you excel. You will also have a highly developed mechanical and technical understanding with exceptional fault finding/troubleshooting skills. 

Your proactive and positive nature will be important to your achievement in this role, as will your down to earth approach to building relationships with your colleagues and your commitment to delivering quality work. The ideal candidate will also require the flexibility to work shift work and overtime as required.
