About the Opportunities

Save On Foods currently has multiple opportunities available for Personal Shoppers in Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Surrey, BC.

Reporting to the Personal Shopper Team Lead, you will support the Online Shopping Department in achieving operational standards, including customer service, picking products, maintaining cleanliness, food safety, shrink, and health & safety objectives. 

A typical day in this role may look something like this:

  • Picking customer orders according to the store layout while adhering to substitution guidelines
  • Packing orders into totes in preparation for delivery
  • Ensuring the quality, freshness, and accuracy of every customer order (both pick up or delivery)
  • Processing payment at tills, including price adjustments for substitutions
  • Compiling paperwork, receipts, order summaries, coupons, etc. 
  • Preparing any necessary documentation for delivery (such as with gifts)
  • Informing Team Leads of any items that are out of stock, missing signs, product location changes, and anything else that might impede operational standards

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a retail team environment, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done. A sense of humour and the ability to have fun at work will make you a great fit!

You will also demonstrate: 

  • A high degree of professionalism with an optimistic and resilient approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and without supervision in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Previous experience in, or knowledge of the following is considered an asset:

  • Food safety
  • Computer programs
  • Occupational health & safety

It would also be an asset if you were willing to learn these skills.

Our personal shopping department operates around the clock, as such graveyard shifts will be a part of your shift rotation. While this is currently a part time position, there is potential for transitioning into a full-time role and/or additional growth opportunities. Additionally, there are full-time hours available for these part-time positions. Please note that a flexible work schedule and the ability to work graveyard shifts is a requirement of this role.
