About the Opportunity
Gandangara Health Service has a unique opportunity for a Health Services Manager to join their team based in Liverpool, NSW.
In this pivotal role, you will be overseeing the day to day operational management and coordination of all relevant aspects of the Gandangara Health Service, including the 114 Family Practice in Moore St, Liverpool.
Major component's of the work will include:
- Providing professional advice and guidance in enhancing the existing GHS business operations;
- Developing, implementing and monitoring relevant health industry required health provision standards, policies and procedures;
- Ensuring that the GHS is operating in an efficient and economic manner, and the required industry standard of patient care and services are maintained and that sufficient revenue is being generated from the 114 Family Practice, and associated health programs and services;
- Managing and providing supervision and administrative support for all GHS personnel, including General Practitioners, Clinical Staff, and Program and Administrative staff members; and
- Actively maintain professional networking, in seeking funding opportunities, and participating in GLALC Team managers planning forums and events.
To be successful, you will be a health professional with management skills and tertiary qualifications in a health field. These qualifications will be complemented by your extensive experience in organisational management and ability to maximise service provision outcomes.
GHS is seeking an adaptable and flexible individual who can display the initiative, discretion and cultural sensitivity needed to support and drive the organisation's objectives and values. You must be able to operate effectively as a leader within a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary health team. Your management background will ensure you have high-level problem solving, networking and dispute resolution skills. Additionally, it's important you be a leader who is committed to professional development for both yourself and your team members.
You will need to possess a keen interest in Indigenous culture, as well as a strong desire to help families within Aboriginal communities and demonstrated knowledge of health related issues in Indigenous Australians. In addition, you will have experience in working to KPIs, grant submissions and the ability to retrieve computer data for funding acquittals.
